Yacht Diesel Service Technician

Saunders Yachtworks is the largest full service yacht facility on the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico. We are seeking candidates to provide mechanical service to propulsion diesel engines, diesel generators, and vessel auxiliary systems. Our technicians provide service on yachts up to 100' in length. We are a factory authorized service dealer for CAT, MTU/Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and MAN engines; Northern Lights and Onan generators; CruisAir and Marine Air air conditioning systems; and all manner of water makers, battery chargers, and refrigeration units. Factory authorized training is provided to all service technicians. A field service technician at Saunders Yachtworks can expect to be assigned a fully equipped service truck or van. Our service area includes the coastal community from Apalachicola, FL, to Gulfport, MS, but most of our work takes place in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, AL.

 

Saunders Yachtworks employees are evaluated for basic intelligence, mechanical aptitude, and good character. Job duties include customer service skills; mechanical and electronic troubleshooting; the ability to work in a refined environment; all manner of engine and equipment services; rigging; and ability to work in tight space (yacht engine rooms!). You will be required to professionally represent our company to customers and vendors. Overtime is expected, especially during the summer. Our primary customers are owners of off-shore, sportfishing yachts and they are used intensely during the warmest times of the year.
