Job Summary:

The Account Executive, under technical direction, underwrites and analyzes new and renewal Subguard & Construction Professional Liability business. Responsibilities are as follows:
1.)Administers and monitors underwriting rules and guideline, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules.
2.)Works writing significant limits and authority on assignments of higher technical complexity and coordination.
3.)May provide guidance to lower level associates.
4.)Markets companies' products and services through an agency plant or through the brokerage community.
5.)Develops/maintains agency and /or broker relationships in the Mid-Atlantic region.



Job Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent

4 or more years of related experience.

1. Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of progression of positions of increasing responsibility.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. In-depth knowledge of line/s of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines.
4. Solid knowledge of processing methods and workflow procedures, and basic knowledge of insurance underwriting and regulations for assigned territories.
5. Strong negotiation skills.
6. Ability to effectively assess risk.
7. Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing, regulations and guidelines.
8. Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.9. Ability to multi-task.
10. Must be able to function effectively in team environment.
11. PC literate.
