Job Objectives:
? Serve as a communication and interpersonal link between the insurance companies and policyholders.
? Maintain friendly yet professional relationships with clients.
? Process work on a current basis following agency/carrier procedures
? Assist in retention of clients by ?Freeing People to Enjoy Life?.
? Service and reunderwrite select commercial accounts under $35K in premium.
? Assist in writing quality small business accounts of $5K in premium or less.

Specific Duties:
1. Establish job/personal goals on a yearly basis.
2. Give explanation to policyholders regarding their policy, coverages, premiums, etc.
3. Send invoices and track payment for agency billed policies.
4. Process incoming mail for accounts assigned to.
5. Report & assist in claims process.
6. Obtain information and approve processing of certificates of insurance by an assistant.
7. Assist Commercial Underwriter in obtaining information.
8. Discuss, review and explain to policyholders? information in regards to their policy and coverage.
9. Obtain endorsement quotes and process changes to policies per insured request.
10. Follow Commercial Insurance Procedures Manual.
11. Consistent and detailed noting of conversations and activities on a policyholder?s accounts.
12. Process renewal applications, new policies and renewal policies.
13. Process incoming mail for appropriate book of business.
14. Report and aid in claims process.
15. Re-underwrite current policies.
16. Support other Account Managers workload when they are on vacation.
17. Train and learn on a regular basis new technology capabilities.
18. Prepare renewal proposal for specified policyholders.
19. Assist sales agents in the placement of non-renewed policies.
20. Negotiate and reunderwrite accounts with underwriters at renewal.
Educational Requirements: As required by Pennsylvania law, each agent will be required to complete and pass the Property and Casualty licensing exam. Each licensed agent will also need to complete all state continuing educational requirements. The Certified Insurance Service Representative designation should be obtained by the end of the fourth year of employment in this position.
