Account Manager - Insurance Replacement/Local Market Sales (Sacramento, CA)

Job Summary Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC, formerly Cendant Car Rental Group, is searching for an IR/LM Account Manager to join our IR and Local Sales Department based in Sacramento, California. This position contributes to the company's success by maximizing revenue potential within the local market and insurance replacement segments. This customer base is comprised of, but not limited to: small businesses, collision repair facilities, automobile dealerships and mechanical repair facilities, insurance agents and claim representatives, hotels, church groups, special interest groups, sports teams and theme parks. The IR/LM Account Manager will be instrumental in coaching location managers and agency operators on how to grow their business through joint sales efforts while effectively promoting Avis and Budget products and services. Segment growth will be achieved by maintaining and developing existing and new customers, while optimizing quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.

Develop a thorough knowledge of Avis and Budget products and insurance replacement services
Qualify and secure new local business opportunities and strengthen existing local accounts
Develop and implement effective local market sales and marketing strategies that maximize insurance replacement sales opportunities
Work with location managers and agency operators within assigned territory on joint sales efforts
Implement strategies to drive local market/insurance replacement revenue growth and market share
Build and maintain effective referral relationships to maximize local referral opportunities
Deliver effective presentations including proposals to customers and business reviews to management
Identify, respond and solve business issues for customers and provide win-win solutions that add value
Coordinate the negotiation of rates and contract terms to solidify pending deals
Close deals and effectively communicate the value of Avis and/or Budget solutions and how they will meet the customers' needs and business objectives
Maintain account files, report documentation and proposals/bids using the Salesforce.com system

Car rental or travel related industry experience a plus


Bachelors Degree
Minimum of two years outside sales/account management experience
Willingness to travel is required and candidate must have a valid driver's license
