Account Manager/Lead Commercial Underwriter - San Francisco, California

We are looking for an Account Manager located in San Francisco, CA.  In this role, the qualified individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a relationship with customers (brokers), profitably growing and maintaining an assigned book of business, completing underwriting reviews on new and renewal business, maintaining 100% compliance with Policy 5.0, regulatory issuance of non-renewal letters and directives.  Additional responsibilities include assisting in the timely issuance of binders and policies as well as the timely collection of premium. 

 

Qualifications:  B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent work experience.  Minimum of 5-7 years of underwriting experience.  CPCU preferred.  Strong industry reputation.  Knowledge of primary insurance market. In-depth knowledge of underwriting.  Solid product knowledge.  Strong interpersonal communication skills.  General working knowledge of underwriting.  Solid understanding of relevant underwriting policies and procedures. Strong knowledge of relevant underwriting software packages.
