Account Specialist

  Job Description: This customer service position plays a lead role in providing superior service as a part of our Brokerage Account Team. The Account Specialist will manage their accounts high profile cases through the underwriting, issue and placement process. They will act as the General Agents liaison for Prudential. In addition to case management, the other key aspect of their role is to build relationships with their GA' and educate them on how to conduct business with Prudential. The Account Specialist will also be expected to respond to inquiries from General Agents via email and phone calls. These calls and emails are related to all new business cases that are in the underwriting, issue or placement process.

Job Duties Include:
Handling inquiries (calls or email) in an accurate, timely and customer focused manner.
Adherence to stated quality, handle time, compliance and cycle time objectives for the phone calls and/or email.
Conducting regular account reviews with assigned account.
Producing call/email and application trending data/presentations relevant to the specific account
Accessing multiple systems and providing responses (verbal and/or written) that are complete and accurate based on the system information available to you.
Partnering with underwriting and other support areas to resolve/expedite cases that have experienced delays.
Displaying ownership, conveying a sense of urgency and utilizing judgment to identify and recommend corrective action when exception or escalated handling is appropriate.
Occasional travel is required.


 


Qualifications:
Two to five years of prior experience within a customer service call center or within a Life Insurance new business area is required.
Knowledge of the life insurance process (underwriting, application processing) is required.
Prior experience working within the brokerage life insurance process is strongly preferred, with an emphasis on experience in brokerage case management or relationship management.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability and desire to work in a constantly changing and team focused environment where exceeding customer expectations and utilizing associates full range of skills at all times is the standard
Ability to understand and convey provisions of insurance contracts, explain product benefits/features and/or comprehend and convey complex rules/procedures is essential.
Superior communication and relationship building skills are essential to this position.



 


Job assignment is in Jacksonville, FL. No relocation benefits available.
Hours of Operations for the division are 9:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. Selected candidates must be flexible in their ability to work any hours during this timeframe.
