Position: Financial Services

 

Reports to: Financial Services Manager

 

Status:    Non-Exempt ? At Will Employee

 

Job Summary:

 

Under administrative direction, performs and coordinates activities to support a centralized program of financial planning, record keeping and control. Provides professional assistance to the Financial Services Manager on a routine basis in areas of responsibility.  Performs related work as assigned.

 

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

 

?  Posts and adjusts all necessary receivable transactions in Agency Management system as required.

?  Ensures the accuracy of all Direct Bill postings as they relate to agency and producer commission rates.

?  Ensure proper processing of Personal Lines transactions.

?  Issue checks to clients for any return of premium

?  Process and pay all non carrier accounts payable

?  Assist the Financial Services Manager in the month end close process

?  Reconcile all cash accounts on a monthly basis.

?  Perform account analysis for accruals and prepaid accounts

?  Process month end recurring and non recurring journal entries

?  Maintain transactions on the Fixed Asset software package.

?  Print monthly client statements and installment invoices

?  Work closely with the Customer Service Representatives on commission issues, ensuring agency policies and procedures are followed.

?  Prepare deposit slips for operating and trust accounts.

?  Assist in other Financial Services functions as required

?  Other duties as required by management

 

Qualifications:  The ideal prospective team member will have a minimum of three to five years prior accounting experience.  Strong computer and communication skills are required, as well as a positive attitude.
