Actuarial Officer

Job Summary Responsible for the pricing, design and implementation of new products as well as product enhancements within the Annuities division. Responsible for prudent pricing so that the policyholder, agent and company requirements are properly balanced.

 

Main Accountabilities
Design new products and product enhancements within our fixed, equity indexed and variable product lines.
Assist in the development of marketing strategies with respect to the product portfolio and provide input into new product concepts.
Price products and evaluate the impact of various product design alternatives; also, assist in setting pricing assumptions.
Develop the appropriate actuarial memos for state filing purposes.
Serve as the product design expert and participate extensively on product implementation teams.


Education: BA/BS degree and the FSA designation
Experience: A minimum of five years of actuarial experience within the insurance industry
Skills: Understanding of marketing, sales, product development, and asset-liability management. Strong oral, written, technical and presentation skills.
