Position Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

*Perform valuation and financial reporting for life products, including reinsurance and captive reporting.
*Improve and document reporting processes.
*Prepare various statutory Annual Statement exhibits and schedules.
*Assist in projections, such as OBV and Asset/Liability Management.
*Assist in preparation of Asset Adequacy Memorandum.
*Develop and check various actuarial requests for PHS and Claims departments.
*Research and prepare responses to actuarial audits.
*Perform ad hoc actuarial requests.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

*Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related major.
*At lease one (1) Society of Actuaries exam passed.
*Proficient in Excel and Access.
*Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
*Strong analytical abilities.
*Good communication skills, both oral and written.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (In addition to Basic Qualifications Required):

*Two (2) Society of Actuaries exams passed.
*Two (2) years professional experience in actuarial field.
*Proficient in Excel and Access, including macros.
*Working knowledge of MG-ALFA modeling software and Polysystems' valuation software.
