Actuary Assistant
Analyzing data and information specifically for rating purposes. Identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Candidates should have solid quantitative and pricing skills with a strong technical, research and Mathematical/Finance/Business/Insurance type background. BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or a Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus. An Actuarial background is preferred but not mandatory of the position. The duties will involve competitive analysis, experience evalution, developing rate changes, submitting the rate changes to the state and implementing and testing rates in the computer system. Analysis of trends and ratios in historical data. Check source data in order to verify its completeness and accuracy. Ability to write and speak clearly and professionally. Ability to use a variety of technologies - spreadsheet and word processing; queries from data in AS/400 database. Self motivated team player. Job experience - 3 to 5 years in financial, business, or insurance fields. Excellent company benefits.
