Adjuster

Description:
The person in this position will Investigate, measure, document, resolve and settle all assigned claims within the insuring agreement in an equitable manner to the satisfaction of the insured and FM Global/Affiliated FM.

He or she will handle losses as assigned anywhere with San Francisco operations servicing territory (Northern CA, AK, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY) and be willing to serve on CAT Team.

This individual will assist the Insured in loss mitigation, salvage, restoration of production, claims preparation and subrogation.

Additionally, the person in this position will manage, control and coordinate any consultant service engaged for specialized assistance in any area of the adjustment process.

Assist the operations in achieving corporate key results by interacting with account team members on a regular basis and insureds on a pre-loss basis.

Provide staff mentoring and training as directed.

Qualifications:
This position requires someone with a 4 year college degree with a minimum 5 years prior commercial and industrial property adjusting experience. Experience and education will determine whether candidate is considered for senior adjuster or general adjuster position.

The successful candidate will be results driven; possess effective oral, verbal and written communication skills; possess strong interpersonal skills including negotiating and consulting; have good organization skills; and posses the ability to make quick and sound recommendations.

Although office based, candidate must be willing to travel at short notice and work out-of-town as needed to effectively manage assigned losses.
