Administrative Assistant - Marsh Japan Client Services - New York

General Summary

 

Under general supervision, performs administrative tasks for a team of several senior managers.

 

Essential Functions

 Supports project managers in daily functions including preparing client presentations – which may include reports, general correspondence and/or presentations. Makes travel, appointment and meeting arrangements. Will be responsible for taking telephone messages and relaying these to colleagues in JCS. Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials. Prepares expense accounts. Maintains correspondence and data files, often confidential in nature. Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes. May compose own correspondence. Conducts research, and compiles and types reports. Complies with Marsh professional standards to ensure quality service to all clients. Other duties as assigned or required. 

 



Qualifications

 

Requires limited knowledge of company policies, practices, and organization. Ability to interface with clients, employees and management at various levels within the organization and externally.  Maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity and trust.  Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks within assigned time frames and with acceptable levels of accuracy.  Requires attention to detail, analytical ability and strong communication skills. 60-65 w.p.m. typing. 

 

Secretarial or business school graduate with 2-3 years experience or equivalent work experience. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of email and MS Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  Basic business writing preferred.
