What is the approval and selection process for becoming an Agency Executive?
Becoming an approved candidate for a Nationwide? agency opportunity requires completing sales aptitude questionnaires, in depth interviews, and successfully completing several assignments. Background checks, performance evaluations, and team interviews are also part of the approval process. These steps help the candidate, and Nationwide, decide if the Agency Executive career is right for them. Characteristics of a successful Nationwide Agency Executive include:
Ability to manage and operate a business
Dedication to marketing, selling, and servicing a wide range of insurance and financial services products

Once approved for Nationwide Agency Executive opportunities, the candidate may be considered for a specific opportunity in a start-up agency via the Agency Executive program.
Upon being selected for a specific opportunity, the candidate will proceed to career preparation training and licensing.
What kind of training and support does a new Nationwide Agency Executive receive?
Training and Development:
As part of the agent selection process the candidate and the sales manager will put together a training and development program designed to address the development needs of the candidate and strengthen the knowledge and abilities the candidate brings to the position. Training programs for the agent and appropriate staff members will include classroom sessions at corporate training facilities, self-paced computer E-training and local and regional workshops.
The Sales Manager and Business Consultant will work with the new agency executive to develop a viable business plan that will include agency financing, marketing, and staff utilization and compensation.
Financial Support:
Nationwide offers in-house financing to assist in the initial costs of establishing an agency operation via the Agency Executive program. Most important, substantial loan waiver provisions based on production and growth objectives are available for both programs. The loan waiver provisions create extremely lucrative business opportunities for the Agency Executive program.
