Annuities Transactions Rep

Major Duties and Functions Include:
Responsible for processing annuity financial transactions; Partial Surrenders, Full Surrenders, Direct Transfers, 1035 Exchanges, SWPS, etc. Must be able to determine what is requested and that proper documentation has been received. If documentation is incomplete, must be able to effectivitely communicate this to NOGO staff. Must be able to process transactions accurately, while maintaining acceptable productivity levels. Must stay current on new regulations, systems, and procedures. _________________________________________________________________________________ Principal Responsibilities: 
 1. Case Review ? Communicate to NOGO staff if more information is needed ? Research and determine what is requested. ? Validate that all required documentation is in order. ? Verify owners signature on payments over $100,000.00
2. Transaction Entry ? Make loan payment if needed ? Process Net or Gross ? Pay to proper payee and address ? Use correct disbursement type
3. Check Functions ? Write Manual Check Requisitions when necessary ? Prepare overnight envelopes if needed
4. Compliance ? Must understand and apply various rules and regulations governing annuity contracts and exercise good judgement when authorizing payments ? Must be able to process variable annuities within the SEC guidelines and MetLife Standards

 

Position Requirements  ? Must be able to effectively utilize a computer to access various applications and electronic systems used for processing payments and research. ? Must maintain a production database to track receipts, production, and time service for ? Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required: ? Needs the ability to recognize and efficiently handle priority cases, making independent judgements ? Must have the ability to handle the stress of working against critical daily deadlines while meeting division standards for performance and quality ? Must have good typing and math skills ? Must be able to learn and stay current on annuity products and systems ? Must have computer skills or the ability to learn ? Must be able to communicate effectively verbally or in writing ? Must be a positive team player ? Must have planning and organizational skills ? Has to be customer focused ? Must be self-motivated and work with little supervision ? Must be flexible and open to change
