Assistant Broker

Colemont Insurance Brokers is ranked among the top five largest wholesale specialty lines insurance brokers in the US.  Founded less than 15 years ago, the company has grown to include hundreds of insurance professionals in offices across the country.  With access to hundreds of specialty lines markets and programs, as well as in-house underwriting facilities, our insurance brokers are highly experienced at placing any property, casualty, transportation, and financial services risk.

 

Our Dallas, Texas office is looking for an Assistant Broker for its casualty team. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Enter and revise information in C-Biz (WinBroker)Assist in the marketing of new and renewal businessFollow-up with agent and/or markets on outstanding items needed to obtain quotesPrepare quotations for agentsProcess premium finance documentation and certificates of insuranceInvolved in both the binding and maintenance of accountsAssist accounting department with processing of market invoices, reconciliation reports, and premium collection discrepancies.Work with agents, markets and brokers to resolve inquiries, issues, and requestsHandle surplus lines transactions Prepare routine correspondence, records and reports, and perform general office tasks

 

Necessary Skills/Attributes:Ability to interact and develop relationships at all levels, both internally and externallyManage strict detailsOrganized; able to multi-task and resolve moderately complex problemsStrong communication and analytical skillsHeavy word processing/keying requiredProficient computer knowledge including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office.

 

Candidates should be able to both understand and apply concepts, practices and procedures related to insurance.  Desired candidates will have an Associate?s degree or equivalent with 2 ? 5 years of job-related experience, preferably casualty.  Salary expectations must be included in order to be considered for this position.
