Assistant Vice President, Audit

To continue this pattern of success, we are looking for a proven Audit Manager in our Alpharetta, Georgia office.

 

Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting in the execution and coordination of audit activities for the company.  Responsible for project management, relationship management and oversight of internal and external resources related to audit activities.

 

Coordinating external and internal resources for regulatory exams, internal and external audits, process reviews, SOX testing, and project management process. Tracking and followup of issues identified by regulatory exams, external auditors, and any internal audit functions.Assist in the development, management and execution of the audit plan. Internal audit activities include, but are not limited to evaluating the company internal control structure, identifying risks and impacts from emerging regulatory actions; testing compliance with company policies and procedures; reporting findings and recommendations; and performing follow up audits as deemed necessary.  Activities are focused on safeguarding the company assets and financial stability. Process review activities include, but are not limited to identifying opportunities for cost savings and avoidance, revenue enhancement and process improvements; identifying policy, procedure or compliance issues; and making recommendations to management for corrective and preventive action as deemed necessary. Coordinate development of detailed SOX test plans and oversee the execution including hands on review and monitoring of work.  Conforms to, supports and enforces all Company policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications:Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.  MBA preferred; CPA, CIA or other audit certification preferred. Minimum eight years experience in at least two or more areas:  finance, operations, customer service, quality, audit or internal audit. Demonstrated experience with state regulatory audits and procedures. Strong technical accounting, financial and auditing background. Working knowledge of key aspects related to same. Project management skills Ability to work effectively in an unstructured environment. Possess strong analytical, organization, process oriented and leadership skills. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.  Willingness and ability to travel as deemed necessary. Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service oriented attitude. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and to make presentations to executive management. Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
