Assoc Technical Analyst

Description: This position is for third shift. Work week schedule will be either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday. Under general supervision of Shift Manager, assists in the performance of routine tasks associated with operating mainframe computer equipment, network and system monitoring in accordance with detailed instructions. Knowledge of computer and network operations, plus department functions is required. The use of effective problem managment and writing skills is required. Associates or Bachelors Degree or Technical School Certificate or equivalent technical training and 2-5 years related experience required.

Monitors overall system performance of multiple hardware/software products on multiple platforms; Z/OS, VM/VSE

Basic negotiation skills; good oral and written communication skills

Fundamental knowledge of JCL, CA-7, MVS/JES2 mainframe environment, AS/400 - I Series midrange environment

Working knowledge of Mainview Explorer, AutoSys, Patrol Explorer, Spectrum and a Network Operations background is a plus.
