Associate Broker - Wholesale Brokerage

NIP Group, Inc. is a dynamic, rapidly growing Woodbridge, New Jersey insurance organization. Our Specialty Brokerage division is currently seeking candidates for the following role:

 

ASSOCIATE BROKER

 

This position will Assist the Broker in their respective team by marketing some new and renewal business, issuing binders, preparing computer generated proposals and quotations, issuing invoices, researching and solving accounting problems, handling agent inquiries, checking policies, processing endorsements, and following up on outstanding information, etc.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (Other duties may be assigned.):

 

?  Clear account or delegate as appropriate.

?  Marketing support and customer assistance.

?  Analyze new and renewal submissions and provide market selection as directed by the broker:

? Prepare a submission that includes a loss summary, financial data, and additional information as required

?  Forward submissions to markets.

?  Follow up with the agents and/or the markets on outstanding items that are needed to obtain quotes.

?  Prepare quotations for agents.

?  Binding of accounts:

? Receive the order to bind from the agent.

? Prepare request to market to bind.

? Confirm bound with market.

? Organize the file in chronological order and prepare binders and invoices.

?  Process premium finance documentation

?  Process certificates of insurance

?  Service/maintain the file after it is bound:

? Handle endorsement requests including preparation of invoices if needed, subjectivities, follow up on outstanding items, notices of cancellations, and additions/deletions to policies.

? Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relative to their state, surplus line, e.g.

?  Accounting:

? Assist the accounting department with processing of market invoices, reconciliation of FS29 reports, and premium collection discrepancies.

? Answer miscellaneous phone calls from agents, markets, and brokers involving minor inquiries, problems, and/or requests.

?  Renewals:

? Market assigned renewals autonomously.

?  Other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

?  Full understanding and application of concepts, practices and procedures related to insurance, typically acquired through an Associate?s degree or equivalent, and 3-4 years of job-related experience.  Wholesale brokerage and Excess & Surplus Lines experience is a plus.



NECESSARY SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

?  Ability to interact/develop relationships at all levels both internally and externally.

?  Manage strict details.

?  Handle multiple tasks.

?  Proficient computer knowledge including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office.

?  Verbal/written communication skills and math skills.

?  Resolve complex problems.

?  Organize tasks effectively.

?  Heavy word processing/keying required.

Work is performed under general direction, within the parameters of company policies and procedures
