Under broad supervision, develops and provides information and analysis for business improvement projects to support the decision-making process and business operations.


 


Performs a combination of the following duties according to departmental guidelines:


1. Analyzes, coordinates and tests business improvement projects.


2. Develops the scope, proposal and detailed project plans making recommendations to management on proposed projects.


3. Tracks project status and ensures that project is in accordance with the business plan.


4. Under direction of a senior consultant, may lead a component of a larger project.


5. Prepares reports for management review.


 


Additional Responsibilities:


1. May develop training plans and/or develops training materials.


2. May prepare presentations.


3. Performs other essential duties as assigned.


 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


1. Knowledge of the insurance industry as well as an understanding of the company's products.


2. Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills.


3. Knowledge of project management principles.


4. Ability to exercise independent judgment and to make critical business decisions effectively.


5. Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills both verbal and written.


6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.


 


Education and Experience:


1. Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.


2. Minimum of four years project related experience.
