Our downtown client is in need of a RN (LPN WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED), preferably with Bill Review or Work Comp case management experience for a 2 to 3 month TEMP assignment. Salary is commensurate with experience. This is TEMP only but you must be able to work full time hours Monday thru Friday/40 hours per week. No Exceptions! 

 

Job description:

 
Review of medical bills and related documentation. Verify coding, units, determining level of service, detecting unbundling of services and determining medical appropriateness/necessity.  Access the system to finalize Nurse Review bills suspended in the system.
Process reconsiderations and appeals. Retrospective review to consider possible additional payment, complete reconsideration letter and setting up Explanation of Review for adjustment.
Perform prescreen of hospital bills to determine if hospital bill review is required.
Obtain clarification of guidelines or procedures from appropriate State Workers' Compensation Boards when necessary.
Communication with providers.
