CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE I
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for receiving and recording all incoming auto loss reports, verifying coverage, and explaining the claims process. Interviews and obtains statements from claimant. Coordinates repair assignments, contacts towing services and rental car companies as needed to arrange services on behalf of our customers. Utilizing the telephone, provides initial response and determining whether to handle the claim or refer it to a higher level of expertise. Must be able to successfully complete training courses pertinent to their job duties. Maintains an electronic diary system to monitor status of claims and complete appropriate follow-up in a timely manner to ensure world class customer service.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One to three years of customer service experience. Ability to gain knowledge and understanding of the handling of claims and process accordingly. Must possess strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills. Strong decision-making ability and customer service orientation. Must display strong oral and written communication skills. Basic math and computer skills required. Must have command of the English language. Must have the ability to express oneself effectively over the telephone and exhibit good interpersonal and service-oriented skills when interacting with others. Ability to receive constructive feedback and function effectively in a team environment. Ability to prioritize work, organize time, and balance multiple projects. Must be able to successfully complete training courses pertinent to their job duties.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or some claims experience preferred. Spanish bilingual a plus!
