COMMERCIAL LINES UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Lines team as an Underwriting Assistant to support the Underwriters through proper evaluations and risk retention resulting in a profitable book of business.  You will underwrite policies within a stated authority, rate changes and new business, and communicate with agents, insureds, and other individuals as necessary.  You will be involved in testing the system for enhancements and modifications as requested, and travel to the field to train and make presentations to agents.  To be considered for this challenging opportunity you will need strong communication and customer service skills, along with PC, math and analytical skills.  One year of current underwriting experience in Commercial Lines is highly desired, including Agency interaction.  Three years of policy processing/rating is required.  Five years of rating experience may be considered if it involved strong customer service.
