Case Manager (Life Insurance)

Job Purpose

To effectively process new business according to stated time frames, paying attention to details and concept of case for greatest understanding.  Provide excellent customer service to agents, supplying them with accurate case information and guidance as needed.  Working closely with home offices to insure proper processing of cases.  Maintain detailed case notes and confer with other case managers for problem resolution.  Assist other case managers and administrative co-workers as needed.

 

Responsibilities

Accurately review and process applications on day of receipt, or one day after when necessary.  Ensure all application steps are taken (ordering apses, medicals, etc). Contact agent to thank for business and advise case management plans.

Review and process underwriting requirements on day of receipt and responding accordingly.

Review and process policies on day of receipt, correcting as needed.

Review and process delivery requirements on day of receipt, responding accordingly

Enter case statuses daily, correspond with agents.  Consider the case and the best manner to proceed.

Respond to incoming agent calls/emails in timely, professional and courteous manner

Perform case follow-ups on pending and issued cases in a timely manner

Follow up on business for end of month accounting for greatest production results

Ensure all cases have been put in-force properly
