Job Summary: Responsible for the fair and accurate disposition of the Company's most complex casualty claims through field investigation, evaluation and settlement or recommendation within the authority limits granted by the Territorial Claim Manager
Duties:
Interprets and determines policy coverages under the personal lines and commercial lines classifications Handles catastrophic claims on a priority basis and submits timely formal reports in accordance with the Company's Claim File Referral Program Conducts field investigations, analyzes and evaluates liability and damages Works under a team concept in handling claim files with the inside casualty adjuster by performing all field investigative activities Recommends and establishes adequate and timely reserves in accordance with company guidelines Makes timely in-person contact with unrepresented injured parties to establish and maintain rapport Resolves claims with rapport claims without attorney intervention Provides excellent customer service Performs other activities as required
Qualifications:
College degree or commensurate casualty claims experience required 5+ years of experience handling MA auto bodily injury claims required Significant mediation and litigation experience required Prior field claims handling experience preferred
