Catastrophe Analysis Intern

We currently have an opening for a Catastrophe Analysis Intern for our office in Chicago.


 


Desired Knowledge and Skills:

Basic understanding of construction characteristics
Knowledge of property insurance concepts (limits, sub limits, deductibles, participation, reinsurance)
Ability to read a policy binder and policy form to understand coverages
Ability to work under tight time constraints
Desire to work and learn in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills including basic knowledge or Excel and Access.


Qualifications:

Junior or Senior status as of May 2006
GPA of 3.0 or above
Course concentrations in Insurance, Financial, Earth Science and/or Statistics
Previous experience in the insurance industry a plus
