Catastrophe Portfolio Analyst

The position is responsible for establishing risk as it relates to Catastrophe Exposure. The information will be the foundation for regional decisions related to catastrophe management.

The catastrophe portfolio analyst will be responsible for all aspects of a corporate portfolio analysis, which includes but is not limited to data capture, data importing, data validation, data analysis and post analysis reporting. The catastrophe portfolio analyst will prepare location level information for reinsurance reporting. The individual will respond to senior management ad-hoc requests for catastrophe related information.

Competencies/Technical Skill Requirements:
An analysis background that includes querying data with Microsoft Access is essential. Experience with the RMS RiskLink catastrophe model is extremely helpful. The candidate must have strong problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate catastrophe positions to senior managers. A minimum of 3 years of experience in property insurance is desirable. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Education: Bachelors or Equivalent Experience

This position will be band 4 or 5 based on the candidate's skills and experience
