Claim Rep/Sr Claim Rep

The role of Claim Rep/Senior Claim Rep is to investigate and adjust commercial property and/or inland marine claims.

Reviews claims; confirms and evaluates coverage.

Investigates claims to determine liability (includes obtaining statements and police reports, scene investigation contract analysis, and cause of loss evaluation.)

Determines, verifies, evaluates and controls damages, injuries and expenses.

Monitors, controls and negotiates claim settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.

Investigates and evaluates recovery potential. Performs all necessary recovery activities.

Documents and maintains all systems and manual records necessary for proper claim handling.

Services the claim needs of our customers, including insureds, claimants, agents and other Great American personnel.

Investigates, evaluates and resolves low to moderate level litigated files including all aspects of litigation management.

Performs other duties as directed.

Required Skills:
Must have a minimum 2 years commercial property inland marine claim adjusting experience or equivalent education and experience.

Must have thorough knowledge of insurance coverages, investigative techniques, and commercial claim adjustment procedures.

Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with equivalent work experience or equivalent business/work experience.

Completion of Associate in Claims program is a consideration when deciding to promote an individual to this position.
