We are currently looking for a Claim Representative, ICU, Outside. Please read on for more details regarding this position.



JOB DESCRIPTION:



Job Summary:
Protect company assets by investigating and evaluating facts in order to assist in resolving claims at the proper cost.  This position will be working from a home office and adjusting claims in the Tallahassee area.  The ideal candidate will reside in the Tallahassee area.
 
Critical Responsibilities:
Inspect vehicle damage and/or prepare auto appraisal.
Conduct field investigation, including site investigation, interview of witnesses to determine liability.
Evaluate facts and supporting data, document records as case proceeds.
Maintain contact with co-coordinator in order to provide updated information and documentation to assist in settlements or agreements.
Maintain quality claim file in accordance with best practices.
Maintain appropriate inventory on pending investigations within specified goals and guidelines.
Maintain appropriate level of closings within specified goals and guidelines.
Update coordinator as needed, providing new facts as they became available, and their impact upon the liability analysis and settlement options.
Recognize cases to be followed by SIU and refer on a timely basis.
Appropriately deal with information that is considered personal and confidential.
Must be self-motivated and organized as this position works remotely from a home office.
Develop new methods or approaches to problem solving as precedents typically do not exist.
Use and interpret information and facts to conduct a thorough investigation.
