Job Description

As a Homesite Claims Associate, you will be responsible handling all aspects of homeowner property damage and liability claims including: Investigating, evaluating and settling claims following established company procedures. Communicating with policyholders, claimants, contractors and others in a timely fashion to obtain pertinent loss information and details regarding the claim. Reviewing coverage, setting appropriate reserves, arranging & reviewing appraisals, and verifying damages. Preparing investigative reports and making recommendations. Negotiating insurance settlements within specific authority guidelines. Providing "World Class" customer service. In addition, you will be on a rotating "on-call" status for emergency claims, and must be available for catastrophe duty on an as-needed basis with possible travel. Some weekend work may be required.

 

Qualifications

 --1-2 years of experience with homeowners claims preferred.

--Ability to work independently

 --Outstanding communication, customer service, organizational, and time management skills

--Must be able to use aggressive investigative skills and analytical thinking to make quick decisions.

--Proficiency in MS Office and Internet Applications
