Job Summary
Integrates business and application functionality knowledge in support of Information Technology initiatives focusing on one or more business units.

Primary Duties
1. Ability to interpret insurance policy language in order to accurately establish claim paying criteria in the claim system.

2. Develop procedures and conduct training for the claim staff.

3. Review system output and balance files between all financial sources on a daily basis.

4. Support various databases used to manage workflow.

5. Acts as liaison between business area(s) and IT group(s) to translate business requirements into IT specifications.

6. Maintains business area contacts and familiarity with business processes.

7. Develops and builds positive business relationships with IT and business unit(s) to ensure knowledge transfer.

8. Participates in the analysis of system scope and objectives with customer and other appropriate areas, identifies interdepartmental impacts & customer requirements.

9. Project Management responsibilities include: project management process understanding, ability to define and document project scope, ability to analyze and design project resolutions, ability to participate in the development/integration through close out phases of project management process.

10. Develops specification documents by gathering business requirements from business groups.

11. May develop User Acceptance Testing plans and scripts to support testing.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education
? Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience
? Must have 2 ? 4 years related work experience, preferably in insurance industry
? Working knowledge of system development life cycle
? Demonstrates good interpersonal and communications skills
? Exhibits good analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills
? Working knowledge of desktop software (i.e. MS Excel, MS Project, etc.)

Desired Requirements
? Experience working in a team environment
? Demonstrates basic understanding of project management
? Knowledge or experience with the RIMS claim system
? Experience in building Microsoft Access databases
