Description:
Coordinates the day-to-day operation of the unit with the supervisor. Assists the supervisor in monitoring the work process and service functions in the unit to ensure the quality and productivity standards are met. Executes the administrative and technical duties of the supervisor in the supervisor's absence. Assists with complex cases, problems, and backlog situations. Conducts new employee, procedural, and system training in the unit.

What you will be doing:
1. Assist the supervisor by ensuring that the unit's activities support the Quality standards of the department through daily monitoring of established quality & customer service goals and standards.
2. Assist the supervisor with planning, analysis, coaching, monitoring and communication necessary to ensure successful daily operation of the unit.
3. Conducts new employee training, trains employees in new procedures, interacts with training personnel to provide new system training; and assist in cross-training.
4. Performs technical and administrative duties in the supervisor's absence to ensure adherence to company / departmental policies and procedures.
5. Perform special assignments or projects as directed by the supervisor.
6. Provide input to the supervisor of the use in the evaluation of unit employees.
7. Participate in the screening of applicants in order to assist the supervisor in the selection decision.

What we require:
1 . High School diploma or equivalent. (Some college preferred.)
2. 5 years experience in life insurance industry.
3. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of AIG staff, management, agents, policy owners / beneficiary.
4. Leadership abilities.
5. Good working knowledge of life insurance administrative systems, concepts, and operations.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
