AUTO PHYSICAL DAMAGE CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVES

 

As a Claims Representative you will conduct investigation on assigned cases, confirm coverage, identify subrogation rights, establish damages, estimate vehicle repair costs, report status, and negotiate settlement (the Auto CR has authority to make payment of assigned claims within prescribed limits).  You will inspect damaged property or vehicles, and determine claims related damage.  As needed, you will report theft, fraud, and arson losses as required to state and industry agencies. Most duties are performed on an individual basis, and work has a direct bearing on Management results.  Claims Representatives represent the Company from a public relations standpoint and must conduct oneself as a member of Management at all times. Contacts are a major part of activity and include policyholders, claimants, agents, repair facilities, police and fire departments, state and county fraud and arson personnel, special investigators, attorneys, and all others incident to the investigation and processing of claims.

 

Job Qualifications:

4-year degree; effective verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; a good driving record; 1 to 2+ years of Auto Physical Damage Claims experience is preferred.
