Claims Service Director
USAA is currently seeking a talented Claims Service Director for our Phoenix, AZ location.
As a Claims Service Director for USAA, you will be accountable for the adjustment of automobile and property claims, through subordinate claims service managers and the results achieved. You will be responsible for administrative duties as well as overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of several regional claims operations units. You will be accountable for the implementation of USAA's claims initiatives, achievement of assigned goals and objectives in the property and casualty and regional operational plans as well as compliance with policies and procedures. You will need to acquire and maintain the applicable insurance license and/or securities registration consistent requirements.
Qualified candidates will possess:
7 years of property and casualty claims experience in positions of increasing and diverse responsibility.
Demonstrated successful management and leadership ability.
Proven successful resolution of personnel issues to include conflict management through the use of an innovative and positive leadership style.
Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on communication, teamwork and continual development of subordinates.
Proven ability to meet tactical and strategic operational plans.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Willingness to relocate. Preferred experience includes:
College degree and/or related insurance education (CPCU, SCLA, etc.).
Thorough knowledge of personal lines insurance contracts.
5 years of recent USAA claims management experience.
