Claims Service Manager

USAA is currently seeking a talented Claims Service Manager for our Tampa, FL location.

As a Claims Service Manager for USAA, you will oversee all physical damage operations within an assigned territory by effectively utilizing operational management and evaluation of key physical damage measures. You will serve as a coach, counselor, mentor and subject matter expert to a team of Physical Damage Specialists and Staff Appraisers. You will be responsible for the effective management of the STARS program under an assigned geographic span of control as well as be accountable for the operational response to audits and implementation of resulting action plans. The position is located in the Tampa vicinity and is responsible for the territory in Northwest Florida (Tampa/Panhandle).

Qualified candidates will possess:

7 years of auto physical damage experience, including knowledge of ADP and CCC estimating software.

I-CAR CRC 2000, Platinum and Advanced courses completed within 1 year.

CAT duty required as needed.

Computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.

Ability to travel on a regular basis (company car provided) with the possibility of overnight travel throughout Panhandle and territory in Northwest Florida.

Ability to acquire and maintain applicable insurance license and/or securities registration consistent with the position's requirements.

Ability to submit to and satisfy the requirement of a medical test of illegal drugs and MVR before being awarded position.

Preferred experience includes:
Auto physical damage management experience.
Extensive physical damage background, including auto damage re-inspection program.
USAA PDS experience.
Some college education or current job related self development.
