Position Description ? Assistant Account Manager

Division: Business Insuring Division

Reports To: Business Insuring Division Manager



PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist Account Managers
2. Provide customer service to clients as assigned and requested.
3. Maintain a familiarity of all aspects and services of CLG Financial
4. Educate clients and prospective clients on the services of CLG Financial

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support Account Managers in all functions as directed by the Account Managers and approved by the Business Insuring Division Manager. (See Business Insurance Account Manager job description and be prepared to support all of their Major Responsibilities)
2. Complete requests for Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Property, Policy Changes
3. Prepare documents and other correspondence as requested by delegating authorities
4. Issue Auto ID Cards
5. Review and resolve billing/invoicing questions and problems
6. Complete Proposals
7. Complete Summaries of Insurance
8. Request Loss Runs and complete loss summaries
9. Complete and update applications when required
10. Review insurance policies and endorsements for accuracy
11. Review audits for accuracy and complete audit summaries
12. Attend insurance carrier meeting and client meetings when requested and required, both at CLG offices and offsite
13. Communicate with underwriters and other insurance carrier personnel on all issues related to clients and prospects
14. Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems, and comply with the request and/or refer to the Account Manager and/or Producer only when necessary.
15. Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items.
16. Be familiar with and follow agency E&O/Procedure guidelines.
17. Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
18. Perform projects at management?s request.
19. Provide back up for office administration tasks and reception

QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School diploma is required.
2. Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
5. Excellent typing/keyboarding skills
6. Minimum two years experience in similar position is desirable.
7. Should be licensed per state requirements.

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT.
