Competencies/Tech Skills:

The candidate must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in at least one state, and the ability to fulfill New Jersey in-house counsel registration requirements or NJ bar admission.

Description:

In house employee benefits and compensation counsel with a minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience. Experience in the areas of contracts and litigation is also desirable. Candidate will provide legal advice on the documentation, disclosure and administration of defined benefit pension plans, 401(k) plan, welfare benefit (e.g. health care) plans, excess benefit plans, compensation plans and other such programs maintained by Chubb. The candidate will be the primary resource for legal advice on the company?s benefits and compensation-related issues, (including executive compensation), for the preparation or review of plan documents, summary plan descriptions, employee communications, board resolutions, trust agreements and contracts. The candidate will also provide advice on HIPPA and privacy compliance, COBRA and ERISA compliance.

Candidate will also provide legal advice on general contract and vendor management issues, and may assist in other corporate matters including intellectual property.
