Compliance Manager

 

CNA National is seeking candidates for the position of Compliance Manager. Job duties include

? Preparation of required insurance application and policy forms, state filing transmittal forms and cover letters for filing with state insurance departments.

? Reviewing and revising policy forms as necessary to meet state-specific regulatory requirements.

? Conducting state filing research and determine applicability of laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

? Tracking the status of filings and conduct follow-up with state regulators when needed.

? Counseling business units, including providing in-depth analysis of state and other applicable laws, and counseling on their application to underwriting, claims, financial reporting, and other compliance areas.

Qualifications and Experience

? Bachelors Degree or equivalent working experience

? 3-5 years of P&C insurance experience handling product filings and/or compliance

? Strong knowledge of insurance product filings, state insurance compliance procedures, and regulatory reporting and procedures across the United States

? Familiarity with standards, concepts, and practices within the insurance industry

? Background in automotive contractual liability a plus

? JD a plus

Qualified candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, legal research skills, and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups; experience with contracts, policies, regulatory and compliance based issues, business litigation and discovery management; ability to independently and effectively manage numerous tasks under deadlines; ability to work well with internal and external business professionals; and work well in a team environment.
