Contract Analyst

Major Duties and Functions Include:
Serve as a liaison between the Product Teams, Contract Development, Legal and the Account Management and Underwriting Teams
Ensure new products and processes integrate with business units to ensure contract compliance and support greater efficiency
Develop proficiency in consultative skills, productivity, relationship building, problem solving and customer plan analysis including contract compliance
Build effective relationships with Account Managers, Underwriters, and other internal partners. Respond to partner needs with a sense of urgency by prioritizing workload to meet deadlines (multi-task)
Plays a supporting role in providing consultative service to partners with basic contract compliance and process questions
Obtain and analyze basic plan design and plan provisions with applicable laws and regulations in order to ensure accuracy of contract content and consistency with company guidelines and plan administration
Generate accurate contract documents for basic product structures that meet or exceed customer requirements, MetLife business objectives and ensure contract compliance with applicable federal and state legislation
Participate in cross-team projects or activities that improve business process and operations What You Need to Succeed:


A Bachelor?s Degree
Two - three years of relevant professional experience, with some exposure to insurance contract related work
Some understanding of the economic trends and Insurance industry, particularly MetLife-s Institutional product lines and policy provisions
Competencies: Analytical thinking, Organizational and interpersonal skills including flexibility; Thoroughness, accuracy and care in handling details; Customer Focus; Good verbal and written communication skills; Adaptable to Change
