In this role you would negotiate contracted rates for hospitals and ancillary groups in assigned states in the southeastern region of the U.S. You would also enjoy plenty of flexibility in managing your own workload, as well as a wide variety of advancement opportunities. (This position involves minimal travel.)

 

Primary responsibilities include:
Negotiating contracted rates for hospitals and ancillary groups
Ensuring that unit medical costs are met
Maintaining current contracts
Communicating directly with CEO's, CFO's and directors to maintain strong business relationships
Verifying data and making sure that it is loaded in system accurately
Preparing reports



Extensive experience dealing with hospitals or other providers in the field of managed care is required. Contracting experience will also be needed, with a preference for experience in negotiating contracts with hospital-based clinicians and specialists, ancillary providers, or surgery centers. Strong communication and computer skills will be critical. A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
