Corporate Claims Manager

A national construction company with more than 5,500 employees and sales in excess of $1.3 billion seeks a Corporate Risk Control/Claims Manager to oversee the loss program throughout the continental USA.  Successful candidate will be familiar with state laws governing Workers' Compensation, General and Vehicle Liability.  Candidate must have prior experience in managing a risk control program.  Prior experience as a claim an adjustor is also a must.  Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word are needed. 

 

This position reports directly to the Director of Risk Management and is responsible for developing, formulating, and coordinating claims control functions for all subsidiaries.  This includes the proper and efficient handling of claims for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Vehicle Liability Claims.  Applicants must have knowledge of claims practices and procedures as they pertain to the above mentioned.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be required.Manage a claim program that deals with 11 operating companies located throughout the continental USA Advise Director of Risk Management of claim developments and summarize results Analyze claim data and create monthly reports to be used by Senior Management and Safety Directors to improve safety results Aid Safety Directors at the individual companies in developing training programs to continue to drive down accidents Assis Director of Risk Management and provide input regarding litigation management control on major lawsuits Conduct a monthly claim review which includes TPA, internal Claims Adjustor, Safety Directors, and company MRO Assist Director of Risk Management in claim negotiation and settlement process Assist Director of Risk Management in the various insurance audits Provide required analysis on claims and determine if patterns exist and, if so, determine corrective actions Read and interpret loss runs and be familiar with online claims system Conduct claim audits of carrier/TPA Develop claim service instructions as guidelines for carrier/TPA performance
