Customer Service Representative Commercial Insurance
Excellent career opportunity to join the premier independent insurance agency in the Tampa Bay area.
Position Description:
Assist in profiling the commercial book of business for marketing purposes.
Inform and educate clients about policy coverage.
Review the markets to obtain the best policies for new and renewal business.
Assist in the design of insurance policies for clients.
Assist Producers in preparing proposals and submit applications to carriers.
Check and sign off on new and renewal policies.
Determine reasons for requests for cancellations and act to retain accounts.
Process cancellation requests.
Create renewal proposals and remarket renewals.
Field phone calls from clients and companies. Seek referrals from current clients.
Initiate own correspondence with companies and clients.
Prepare binders, certificates, account summaries, endorsements, policies, lost policy releases and account balance status.
Check endorsements and audits for accuracy.
Maintain follow up system.
Maintain files.REQUIREMENTSEducation/Experience:
College education or equivalent insurance experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Florida 4-40 License.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Self-starter.
Demonstrate clear understanding of P&C or Benefits coverages and program designs.
Knowledge of rating procedures, coverage and industry operations.
Knowledge of underwriting procedures.
Ability to analyze existing exposures and coverages.
Ability to present alternative insurance solutions.
