Data Indexer-Insurance

Purpose/Summary/Description:

Perr&Knight is an insurance consulting firm with a data entry position open in our Pacific Palisades, CA office. We are looking for someone with dedication, motivation and a good attitude to help us index insurance documents and organize our client newsletters. 

 

The Content department within Perr&Knight?s Competitive Intelligence Practice Area is responsible for indexing, warehousing and distributing thousands of publicly available insurance documents each month.  Distribution is achieved through various channels including newsletters, web sites and CD?s.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

? The position requires reading a large amount of documents daily and summarizing relevant information to be posted on the company?s website and used internally by Marketing and Research Departments and by external clients. 

? Input pertinent information extracted from the filings into the database

? Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

 

Workskills & Requirements/Qualifications:

? Good writing skills

? Fast and accurate typing

? Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel and other Office products)

? Ability to handle a large volume of data on a daily basis

? Must meet or exceed established metrics regarding accuracy and volume

? Ability to follow procedures 

? Ability to work in a production oriented environment

? Ability to work under pressure and change priorities quickly

? Ability to maintain high degree of concentration

? While not required, insurance experience/knowledge is a plus
