Director of Managed Care Contracting

The Director will be responsible for leading/guiding the hospital teams in the development and implementation of managed care contracting strategies; Negotiates effective and profitable managed care contracts; ensures all managed care contracts are negotiated in accordance with MedCath standards. Coordinates contract approval process; monitors contract performance and takes corrective action to resolve operational issues; establishes and maintains positive relationships with local, regional and national managed care companies.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years managed health care operational experience; proven strong project management experience and results in a managed care organization or hospital system; in-depth knowledge of managed care contracting process, products, industry programs and systems; effective contract negotiation and interpersonal skills; and above average computer skills. Experience in financial modeling tools will be considered a plus.

Bachelor's degree required
