Director of Sales Support

Summary of Responsibilities

 

The Director of Small Market Field Operations is responsible for executing on the operational plan and providing direct leadership for field rating on new customers in the market segment less than 100 lives. This position will positively impact earnings, revenue growth, expense management, pool targets, broker satisfaction and quality.

 

Principal Responsibilities

 
Manage all national operations for Small Market including Regional Management staff (8), compliance, human resources and project sponsorship
Create and manage operational metrics, reporting and capacity planning for 23 field office locations
Provide leadership, direction and support to those individuals reporting to this position.
Partner with Market and Service Leaders to build strong team-oriented and successful customer service and field operation
Select, train, develop, supervise and motivate regional management staff
Responsible for human resources related duties for all regions
Assist in managing local operations if necessary
Working knowledge of all field systems and applications
Reference source to New Business Coordinators, Sales team and field producers
Assist in the development of field processes and procedures.
Develop strategic and operational business plans for region.
Provide guidance and direction to direct reports to ensure timely and quality service to clients through productivity management, employee development and implementation of quality controls.

 

Required Competencies

 
Thorough Understanding of group insurance products and their contracts.
Working knowledge of group insurance product underwriting.
Strong Operational Management skills

Advanced employee management skills to effectively lead a team of managers
Willingness and ability to respond to a customer?s need via phone/fax/email or written communication

Will be required to obtain Series 6 & 63, state specific Life, Accident and Health licenses.
Working knowledge of Administrative office departments including ? Administration, Underwriting, Contracts, Commissions, Call centers, Compliance, Legal and Marketing.
