Job Summary:
Will manage complex, high exposure excess casualty and umbrella claims arising from a wide array of customers in manufacturing, transportation, retail and service industries.
Under limited direction, works within broad limits and authority on highly complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth in area of expertise. Investigates and maintains excess casualty, property/casualty claims. Determines liability, secures information, reviews coverages, arranges property damage appraisals and settles claims. Viewed as key resource in given field for department and /or unit, and provides technical advice to lower level associates and other functional areas.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required.
5+ years related claims or insurance defense experience and outstanding coverage analysis, exposure evaluation, and negotiation skills required.
Fundamental knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the insurance legal and regulatory environment. Possesses a functional and developing knowledge of the legal statutes and procedures.
