UnumProvident claims professionals will provide accurate claims adjudication
and superior customer service in our Long Term Disability Unit. We offer
extensive training, a defined career path and ongoing professional development.

Successful Candidates Possess:
*At Least 2 years of group or individual disability claims adjudication
experience.
*Bachelor's degree and /or ALHC, HIA, CLTCP, or FLMI professional claims
designations desired.
*Strong analytical, math and decision making skills.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
*Strong multi-tasking, time management, organizational skills.
*Strong research and investigative skills.
*Superior customer service orientation.
*Strong written and oral communication skills.
*Strong attention to detail.
*Proven aptitude in keyboarding / PC desktop technology.
*Produce objective, clear documentation and technical rationale for claim
decisions, appeals and complaints.

Experienced Claims Professionals Skills Include:
*Strong knowledge of group long term disability contracts to ensure sound,
consistent claim determinations.
*Problem solving by demonstrating analytical thinking, recognizing multiple
connections to reach appropriate claim decisions in the most expeditious and
customer oriented manner.
*Effectively utilize a broad spectrum of claim management resources to ensure
correct, timely claim decisions within legal and UnumProvident service
standards.
*Strong medical knowledge is desired in order to partner with onsite Clinical
Consultant/RNs, Vocational Rehab Consultants and Medical Directors.
*Able to discern key legal issues in a claim and formulate strategy based on
risk assessment.

We will also consider disability claims professionals at the management level.
