FACILITY UNIT SUPERVISOR
The position is located in South Barrington, IL
The purpose of the department is to provide Emergency Road Service and Customer Service to motor club members. Handle any escalated calls from motor club members.
The scope of this job is to plan and supervise the work of employees within the unit in order to accomplish its assigned tasks and contribute toward an overall department effectiveness.
The individual will be responsible for
1. Manage Dispatch Center phone representatives: Coordinate internal unit overflow in compliance with company objectives. Assign job responsibilities and maintain work schedules for employees. Conduct Progress Development reviews, evaluate employees potential and provide sound recommendations to management regarding staffing, salary administration, promotions and other actions affecting
unit employees. Interview new applicants and counsels current unit employees on a regular basis.
2. Communicates information: Drafts reports, memos and business letters. Conducts meetings to provide/receive information to discuss/resolve work related issues. Delivers formal and informal presentations. Keeps management informed of pertinent data as necessary.
3. Information Processing: Identifies pertinent information and presents/reports this information clearly and concisely. Compiles relative data, organizes, interprets and determines action plans.
4. Formulates Plans: Reviews production/quality of work performance. Ensures cross training of tasks to maximize unit productivity and effective personnel management.
5. Documents Information: Maintains daily, weekly, monthly reports for future reference and projections. Compiles informative, clearly define reports of productivity and unit performance. Performs other duties as assigned.
The skills required are:
1. Beginner - Experience, knowledge, formal training: General knowledge of business area processes including best practices.
2. Intermediate - Analytical/Technical Skills: Application of standardized mathematical concepts to solve problems and prepare reports for analysis. Ability to leverage technical skills in support of team objectives.
3. Beginner - Communication Skills: Effective communication in working with others in everyday situations. Requires ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
4. Beginner - Decision Making: Responsible for quality and quantity of sound decisions around processes and issues within the scope of day to day responsibility. Supports the implementation of strategic team objectives.
Experience Required:
1-2 years of customer service. 1-2 years of management
Computer Proficiency:
Microsoft Skills: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook Keyboard 25 wpm.
Education:
College Degree - Preferred
Major preference: Management
