FIELD APPRAISER - PHOENIX AREA

Overview:

 

This position is responsible for appraising, investigating, and evaluating auto property damage for Western United Insurance while exercising sound judgment and complying with the claims practices acts and regulations.

 

Responsibilities:Based from home, Field Appraiser will be responsible for appraising damaged property in the Phoenix, AZ area and necessary investigative work for the in-house claims staff. Contact insured/ claimant within 24 hours after receipt of new field assignment. Adhere to all statutory regulations and claims practices acts. Negotiate estimates with body shops. Recognize potential fraudulent claims. Fax or electronically submit completed appraisals to the claim office the same day that the vehicle was inspected. Resolve vehicle owner concerns. Submit weekly business-related expense via a report to the Supervisor. Conduct quality control inspections and submit weekly reports.

Qualifications:2 to 5 years experience as a field appraiser. I-Car Certified. Self motivated with the ability to work independently. Ability to negotiate effectively. Effective oral and written communications skill. Must possess strong analytical and negotiation skills. Basic familiarity with computers, including Microsoft Window applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook ) and estimating applications
