Field Reinspector

Job Description: The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Field Reinspector for the state of Virginia and other locations.

Responsibilities:
This individual works in the field handling all aspects of the reinspection process for damaged automobiles, trucks and other vehicles.

Directly responsible for driving performance through accurate and thorough technical reinspections.

Responsible for the completion of both field and closed file reviews on Staff, Express Claim Shops and Independent Appraisers.

Works closely with Appraisal Management on continuous improvement opportunities and quality management.

Responsible for continuous improvement of metrics for Staff, Express shop and Independent Appraisers and partners with Unit Managers to improve quality and drive results.

Completion and communication of technical reinspections to Express shops. Completion and communication of technical reinspections to the Appraisal Unit Managers on their staff or Independent Appraisers.

Assist in handling complaints regarding Express shops.

Requirements:

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and comply with state regulations and company guidelines as required.

High School or equivalent required. College degree preferred.

5-8 years of experience required.

Possesses and applies an extensive knowledge of automotive repair procedures, insurance claims knowledge, appraisal practices, and industry trends as well as provides expertise on specialty claims handling.

Ability to handle a large range of specialty vehicle claims and policy applications.

Self directed and works on assignments within specific limits and authority.

Must possess a valid driver's license and be state licensed as needed.

50% Travel Required.
