Financial Products Underwriter Team Leader

The Financial Products Team Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve targeted business goals for an assigned underwriting team. The Team Leader will work in conjunction with the Financial Products Manager and Zone Underwriting Manager, in partnership with home office product management, to ensure Chubb's corporate strategies are followed while maximizing profitability, growth and servicing of the assigned book of business. This individual is responsible for building and developing relationships with producers in both the DTB and DTR producer plants. Responsibilities will also include the hiring, developing and managing a staff of approximately 4 to 5 underwriters and trainees. Travel at a minimum quarterly.

Tech Skills

Qualified candidate should have 4 to 6 years underwriting experience in Financial Institutions, particularly Financial Products related businesses. Leadership skills, in particular in the area of administrative and staff management, are preferred but not required. Broad understanding of the DFI business mission required. Excellent communication skills must be apparent, including externally with producers and insureds, as well as internally. Must be a strong communicator, marketer and negotiator.
